I have worked in the charity sector most of my life, from international registered charities to small local causes, from wealthy charities like The National Trust who have grand patrons and presidents to small local charities who help disadvantaged people in areas of deprivation. I enjoy obtaining funding for new projects to meet beneficiary need.
Helping people who have been in really difficult circumstances achieve something like starting their own business, securing their first job or obtaining their first home – working to make a difference
My first impressions were that SATEDA was making a difference to people, helping people to survive and succeed.

Funding for charities is a challenge particularly when the demands for services increase. As a CEO I am ambitious and keen to make a difference but it will be a challenge to meet increased need within the funding likely to be available after COVID.
Feminism means to me advocating for women’s equality.
