In order to deliver such a high level of support work, SATEDA is reliant on the good will and hard work of our amazing volunteers. Whether you would like to gain experience for a new career path, you want to ‘give back’ some of your time to the community or you just want to get out of the house a little more, we would like to hear from you.
We utilise our volunteers in all of the services we provide, including one to one support work, running groups, mentoring, youth work, fund raising and administrative support. There is something for everyone. Please see role descriptions to get an idea of what each role entails.
We provide ongoing comprehensive training and additionally we are delighted to be delivering the SATEDA Employability Programme due to generous funding from The Big Lottery.
If you are interested please see the contact us page and drop us a line for a no-obligation informal chat.

What do our volunteers think about volunteering for SATEDA?
“I am delighted to be part of such a worthwhile team. As a volunteer I am learning some great skills and knowledge in this field, which will be of great use in future jobs. The new training programme I am on, and the one to one shadowing has been excellent. I have learnt so much in a short space of time and the staff and volunteers who I have learned from are amazing. I look forward to more training as the time goes on, as there is always so much to learn and the training days are so worthwhile. Thank you for allowing me to be part such of such a worthwhile team.”
