SATEDA offers training on various topics to do with domestic abuse, please see the table below for outlines of the sessions we currently offer. We can also deliver bespoke training sessions on specific topics depending on the needs of your organisation. If you would like to invite us to come and deliver training to your organisation, please contact us.

We will be running our Basic Domestic Abuse Awareness Training for anyone to book onto on 24th March 2017 at Swale Borough Council, 12pm – 2pm. The course will be free to all. Please email gavinalexander@swale.gov.uk to book your place.

Domestic Abuse Basic Awareness

 

An overview of the dynamics of domestic abuse. Suitable for all roles – both client facing and otherwise.
Risk Assessment and safety planning.

 

An introduction to completing risk assessments and the process of safety planning. Basic Awareness training to have been completed. Or some knowledge of domestic abuse as part of current role.

Suitable for those who have contact with clients.

Stalking and Harassment

 

An introduction to the offence of stalking and harassment. Including legal responses to this offence. Basic Awareness training to have been completed. Risk assessment and safety planning training to have been completed.

Or good knowledge of domestic abuse as part of current role.

Suitable for all but those who have contact with clients will find this training most useful.

Domestic Abuse and Effects on Children.

 

How domestic abuse effects children and young people and how services can respond to needs of children and young people affected by abuse Good knowledge of domestic abuse. Risk assessment and safety planning training completed or working within the domestic abuse field.
