Susan (she/her) has 8 years of experience in the marketing and communications field, and a passion for gender equality and women’s rights. She focused on gender-based violence in Latin America during her master’s course and gained a deep understanding of the impact of culture and societal norms on violence against women. Susan started her career in marketing and communications in the charity sector, working for Oxfam Ireland on the fundraising team. She spent the next 7 years focusing on events, digital marketing, and communications for companies across the legal, advertising, and sustainability sectors in both the US and UK. Susan previously spent a year volunteering at an outreach centre for survivors of domestic violence, facilitating a support group to empower women who had experienced violence and abuse. She currently works as a Communications Manager for a recycling company in London and joined the SATEDA board as the Marketing and Communications Trustee in June of 2020.
