Does It Feel Wrong?
Does It Feel Wrong? is designed to help you learn to spot the signs of a toxic relationship and seek support.
Welcome to Does It Feel Wrong?
Does It Feel Wrong? is a SATEDA project created especially for teenagers who may be entering their first relationships. We know that navigating relationships can feel confusing and overwhelming, and you may not always know whether what you’re experiencing is healthy. We’re here to change that.
Our mission is to help young people recognise the signs of unhealthy relationships, understand that abuse is never their fault, and remember that they deserve respect and healthy love. Many teenagers pick up harmful behaviours from an abusive parent without even realising it, allowing unhealthy cycles to repeat. This campaign exists to break that cycle.
SATEDA offers a confidential and non-judgemental space where teenagers can learn, ask questions, and get support if they need it. Whether you’re unsure about something in your own relationship or want to help a friend, we’re here to help you.
You deserve to feel safe and a relationship that feels right.

If you’re a teenager navigating your first relationships, or someone who wants to support friends and peers, our Instagram page is here for you. We share tips on spotting the warning signs of toxic relationships, relatable scenarios, and real-life stories which are all aimed at helping you understand what healthy love looks like.
Our page is also a space for young people to learn, and contribute to a community that’s working to break the cycle of domestic abuse and gender-based violence.
Please only follow us if it is safe for you to do so.
Toxic relationships are very common among teenagers.
Where relationships start blossoming, so does the potential for abuse so it’s really, really important to know what’s healthy and what’s not.

Need support?
If you think you’re in a toxic relationship, we can support you. We deliver a programme called Choose Liberty which helps you reconnect with yourself and understand the blurred lines in a relationship.
We want you to feel empowered in your relationships, not anxious or confused.
Checking in with them
If you’ve been worried about a friend lately, here’s how you might gently try to start a conversation. The most important thing is to actively listen to what they say, and make them feel heard even if you might not agree with what they are saying. Your reassurance and support could be really life-changing for them. For more in depth information on how to support a friend click here.
Want to volunteer on this awareness campaign?
We’re looking for 14 -18 year olds to brainstorm and create trauma informed, relevant and creative content about healthy and unhealthy relationships for their generation. Do you have… (don’t need them all, just a few!)
