Help for employers on domestic abuse

In recognition of the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the start of the global 16 days of activism against gender violence SATEDA are sharing the message that domestic abuse is everybody’s business and we’re urging all businesses to consider domestic abuse in their workplace.

We know it’s been a tough year for businesses but domestic abuse has been a hidden pandemic for a long time and now’s the time to call it out.  While domestic abuse is a largely hidden crime, occurring primarily at home, the cost of domestic abuse to business is extensive and costly at relates to an estimated at £1.9 billion a year due to decreased productivity, time off work, lost wages and sick pay.  But with many workers losing the sanctuary of the workplace and working from home during the pandemic colleagues and employees need your support and understanding now more than ever.

SATEDA are here to help.  We can provide a bespoke offer incorporating training, awareness, policy review and consultancy for businesses of all sizes.  Helping you to understand domestic abuse and the best way to help those effected.  Businesses are not expected to become instant experts around the complex issues of domestic abuse, but being open about domestic abuse, having a work place domestic abuse policy and encouraging a safe culture can be easily put in place and can change lives.

To find how small steps can change lives get in touch today and speak to SATEDA about a bespoke offer for your company.
