An evening of wellbeing for women is taking place at Iwade Village Hall on Friday 5th May 2023 to raise £1000 for SATEDA.
Iwade-local Tania Gough is the organiser of ‘Girls Night In’ event and she’s been supporting charities through her business, Beauty Academy South East, for the past 5 years. She has been supporting SATEDA by providing some free pamper sessions and well deserved ‘me time’ to women who are supported by the charity, once they complete their recovery programmes. Now, she has brought together over 20 local empowering beauty and well-being professionals to provide an evening of treatments in Iwade, for all local women. There will be nails, Indian head massage, skin care, make up sellers, taster healing sessions, crafts, interesting talks and wellbeing and product demonstrations on stage too.
Entry costs £5 and includes a goodie bag and welcome drink. They can be purchased on the door.
Tania Gough, CEO of Beauty Academy South East and event organiser says: “I know quite a few people who have experienced domestic abuse and been supported by SATEDA and because of the industry in which I work, we see indicators and evidence that some women we work with are experiencing abuse at home but it can be difficult to talk about. That’s why I want to support SATEDA and raise awareness about the important work they do in Sittingbourne and Swale.”
Carey Philpott, CEO says: “We can’t wait for the event! It’s wonderful that Tania is bringing together all kinds of wellbeing treatments and creating this safe space for women in our community. We really appreciate her support and we will be there to talk to anyone who may wish to speak to us about any domestic abuse concerns in their lives. We’re also really looking forward to connecting with all the female-led businesses who will be there to see how we can work together to protect more women in our community who are experiencing abuse.”
