Peer mentoring

What is peer mentoring?

An opportunity to speak with other women who share similar experiences in a supportive and understanding environment. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. This space gives you the chance to break the sense of isolation and find comfort in speaking with other women. These discussions can help you recognise that you’re not alone and that it was not your fault. They may offer advice, insights, or simply listen to support each other on your journey of recovery and healing. Many women who join peer mentoring go on to build lasting friendships.

The Hive

The Hive is a peer-to-peer support group for women who have engaged with a SATEDA service. It’s run by two volunteers, supported by a Safeguarding Officer, all of whom have experience and training in domestic abuse, safeguarding & mental health.

The group meets every Tuesday in a convenient location in Sittingbourne. Pop along for tea, coffee, biscuits, and a non-judgemental ear. There’s no pressure to attend every week, just when you feel you’d like some extra support or company. If you’re unable to join in person,  there’s also an option to attend online.

To book your space and get full details on time and location, please email admin@sateda.org or call 01795 417251.
