Women’s Support Groups
What is a women’s support group?
Our women’s support group offers a welcoming space to connect with other women who share similar experiences. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Many women find that connecting with others helps reduce feelings of isolation and reminds them that they are not alone. The group provides an opportunity for peer support, where women can share experiences, offer encouragement and support one another on their journey of recovery and healing. Many women who attend the group go on to build lasting friendships.
The Hive
The Hive is a friendly women’s support group for women who have engaged with a SATEDA service, offering a chance to connect with others in a safe and supportive environment. It’s run by two volunteers, supported by a Safeguarding Officer, all of whom have experience and training in domestic abuse, safeguarding and mental health.
The group meets every Tuesday in a convenient location in Sittingbourne. Pop along for tea, coffee, biscuits, and a non-judgemental ear. There’s no pressure to attend every week – come along whenever you’d like some extra support, company or a friendly chat. If you’re unable to join in person, there’s also an option to attend online.
To book your space and get full details on time and location, please email admin@sateda.org or call 01795 417251.
