Rebuild
Power to Change programme is the next supportive step on our journey of support and follows Own My Life. It aims to boost self-esteem and confidence based on the belief that women working together in a safe, friendly and non-judgemental environment can thrive.
As women join in and contribute to the sessions’ delivery and development by organising social opportunities, they learn about women’s rights and empowerment.
This is a space where connections are made, friendships flourish, and loneliness is reduced.
SATEDA delivers Power 2 Change to women in Swale who have experienced domestic abuse and want to rebuild their lives.
SATEDA runs Power 2 Change for 14 weeks, for 2 hours each week, both in person and online. These start in September, January and April (there are no sessions during school holiday weeks).
During the sessions women are supported to rebuild through connections with other women and self-led activities. This creates a space where women can talk about topics which interest them, whilst doing an activity they’ve arranged together.
A key part of the programme is that women learn to change patterns of behaviour learned during the abusive relationship.
Yes, all the services we provide to women and children are free thanks to grants and fundraisers.

To help cover our costs and enable more women to benefit please consider donating where you can.
Yes, we provide a crèche for little ones who aren’t yet in school, so you don’t have to worry about missing sessions due to childcare issues.
Groups are small and informal. Participants find it more than just a programme as it offers the benefits of a support group.
